Red-shouldered Hawk
The Florida subspecies is the most common hawk in central and south Florida, and is a swamp specialist, dining on lizards and other small creatures. The Red-shouldered Hawk is relatively small, compared to the Red-tailed Hawk, which is the most common hawk in much of the United States.
