Also known as Three-banded Courser. A pair of these very attractive birds was roosting in dry bush country at Lake Baringo, Kenya. As always, in finding these birds we relied on local guides who were able to pinpoint many very good species.
Although the bird shows up easily here, in reality we were within feet before we could pick them out against the background and then only with help from the guides.
