La Romera Bed & Breakfast |
My wife and I now live in Sabaneta, a suburb of Medellin, overlooking the La Romera reserve. We live in the Marat Plus condominium, which will also have an upscale hotel with restaurant and spa. We have two guest rooms, one with a bunk bed and a rollout bed and another with one bed and a rollout bed.
We are happy to welcome birders wishing to visit La Romera or other reserves around Medellin for short stays. I remember how much trouble I had just finding La Romera when I first came to Medellin, and don't want others to endure that.
If interested please contact me at tom at birdphotos.com or 011-954-294-8763, or Carla (better at Spanish) at 057-3136038181.
And note there are some great birds in the areas directly connected to the condo: White-throated Crake, Whiskered Wren, Orange-billed Nightingale-Thrush, Colombian Chachalaca, Olivaceous Piculet, Bar-crested Antshrike, Ruddy-breasted Seedeater, Scrub Tanager, Bran-colored Flycatcher, Spectacled Parrotlet, White-tailed Kite (infrequent), and a host of regulars for the region.
