Found in the oasis (what is the plural??) of the Peruvian desert. These areas are rapidly being converted to farmland, so hopefully the Peruvians will leave the one species of tree these birds seem to favor (I don't have the name).
Found in the Peruvian desert where there is vegetation. Larger than the [Purple-collared Woodstar] and [Peruvian Sheartail], and with a distinctive long sturdy slightly {decurved} bill. Male is white in front with a violet gorget bordered with light blue (opposite coloration of the [Purple-collared Woodstar]).
