Breeds in the north-western coastal regions of farthest Siberia and spends the winter in Australasia; this one took a wrong turn somehow and pitched up in the current hotspot for vagrant waders in Tacumshin, Co Wexford. It's been there for a couple of weeks but, as it spends most of its time head down in the vegetation, it's hard to get decent photos. This is the 6th recorded instance of this species in Ireland and worth the effort invested to get to see it..
