Parrots were the name of the game at Cocoparra NP. The Mulga Parrots were out in force (there was a flock of 50+ birds feeding on the seeds near the campsite everyday, whereas before I would usually only see a few birds, mostly in pairs), as were the Mallee Ringnecks. The odd Red-rumped Parrot and Glossy Black-Cockatoo flying over along with the ubiquitous Galahs rounded out the parrot suite at Cocoparra. Oh, and I almost forgot, 4 Turquoise Parrots as well :)
This bird is a female, slightly duller than the male. I was able to get quite close to her, she was quite unconcerned when feeding on these grasses. I didn't crop this photo.
