I had the opportunity to show this photo to field guide author Steven Hilty, and he said although there were three possibilities (including the Northern Scrub Flycatcher and another Tyrannulet), he felt for reasons I don't recall this was a Mouse-colored Tyrannulet. He didn't seem fazed by the fact that it is an immature bird.
