This migratory species breeds in northern latitudes from Fenno-Scandanavia across Russia to Alaska. They winter in SE Asia but on occasion the internal GPS will go awry and they can end up, like this one, in Ireland. This bird was the 8th recorded occurence of Arctic Warbler in Ireland.
