Although you can't tell from the picture, this dove is a bit smaller than the mourning or eared dove.
Try going to Google and entering "Argentina Dove". The first 100 pages or so are about hunting. Apparently, unlike the Passenger Pigeon which was hunted to extinction, the Eared Dove and others can reproduce fast enough to stay around.
