A slightly plump female Passerini's Tanager posing for her Match.com profile shot. The male is beautiful in bright red and shiny black. With most bird species, the males have developed bright colors to attract picky females, so this one does not need to worry.
In {IOC} 9.1 Passerini's Tanager and Cherrie's Tanager were merged back into the Scarlet-rumped Tanager. Cherrie's females are more colorful, but males are similar.
