A small woodcreeper with a short curved bill and vertical streaking in front, but unstreaked on head and back. From a five way split from the Lineated Woodcreeper, and virtually identical to the [Inambari Woodcreeper]. Found north of Amazon River, west of Leticia, and in the eastern parts of Colombia and Ecuador and northeast Peru.
