Birds of Paradise are unique, and exceptionally beautiful birds (especially the males) of the forests of Papua New Guinea. A few are found in surrounding islands. They and are of the order Passeriformes and family Paradisaeidae. Currently none of these birds are endangered, but recent trends in new plantations and deforestation are worrisome.
