There are many Muscovy Ducks at the canal behind Las Olas Blvd. in Fort Lauderdale close to where I live, and don't seem to mind cars or people too much. And I don't know where the expression 'ugly duckling' came from, but if you thought Muscovy ducks had ugly ducklings, you were mistaken.
