An Andean hummingbird, usually found from 1000-2000m, but may go lower to confuse birders with other similar species. Overall green with a bluish tail and greyish patterned vent. Similar to Emerald hummingbirds, but emeralds have a green {vent}, and are usually slightly smaller.
