A sharp photo of a flowerpiercer, a bird who breaks flowers with it's curved bill and sucks the nectar. The Andes above the treeline at 3800 meters is full of flowers. The Glossy Flowerpiercer is very similar and I can't rule out that ID for this photo, but this bird seems matte black vs. glossy and has a small shoulder patch. The bill is also more consistent with Black Flowerpiercer photos.
