Doi Inthanon, Thailand, at 1,670 metres. This is a small bird (about 13 cms) and is very shy, feeding in dense foliage close to the forest floor. I was lucky to get off a few shots when he popped up momentarily - I had been tracking his movements for 10 or 15 minutes. He is an "uncommon resident" in Thailand.
