This was taken on the first full day at Round Hill NR, after a long hard trek through the thick mallee after chasing Major Mitchell's Cockatoo. We were talking to another birdo who was looking for the Red-lored Whister, when this Chestnut Quail-Thrush appeared over the nearest red sandy mound. I went chasing after it, and managed to snap a couple of shots.
This is probably a female or immature male---note the black specks on the breast. Adult male has a wholly black breast.
