Uncommonly photographed. Duller than the Sulphur-rumped Myiobius, and found at higher altitudes. This bird was seen at 1250 meters, and the Sulphur-rumped is supposed to be up to 1000, but is common here at lower altitudes.
Visually very similar to [Sulphur-rumped Myiobius] but rare and only found at higher altitudes (1000-2000m). Ranges don't overlap. Colors less bright (ProAves) and yellow is only on center of belly (tawny {flanks}) ({HBW}). Also about two cm. larger.
