This Nightjar is a reasonably "common" bird in Thailand but is extremely difficult to spot since they lie and nest in leaf-litter, with which they blend almost inconspicuously. This female is shown sitting on her nest. They can only be found by shining a flashlight on the ground before dawn, then looking for eye-reflections.
