This ovenbird was originally thought to be restricted to lowlands of SE Peru and adjoining Bolivia but was also found at some locations further east in Brazil. But it remains scarce and hard to see within its preferred habitat of Guadua bamboo thickets. Its listed as Near Threatened. While I was thrilled to get this record shot, it appears this may be the best photograph of one on the web!
