The main differences between this species and Zeledon's Antbird are location, one out of many of the calls, and the shade of brown of the female. And I believe also the bit of blue between the eye and bill.
Spottily distributed in the Andes. Closely related to [Zeledon's Antbird] which is found on the Pacific slope. The biggest visual difference is the shade of brown of the females. Only one of several of the vocalizations is different. Once called the Immaculate Antbird.
