Aka Northern Tawny-bellied Screech Owl. They generally stay in thick lower vegetation, making them difficult to view. Observed on a night walk at Atta Rainforest Lodge, Iwokrama Canopy Walkway, Iwokrama Forest Reserve, Guyana, South America.

Note dark border to facial disk similar to [Tropical Screech Owl], but note tawny chest and orange (not yellow) eyes. The subspecies south of the Amazon is darker and has a brown and {rufous} morph ({HBW}).
