Often birds are best identified by their call. In this case, it may be by the nest. The nest fits the HBW description well. My only concern about the ID is the underside of the tail appears that it might be white, and the tail is not described by HBW. But if this is an Antshrike, I can't see any other possibilities for a bird with red eyes that is not black.
On male note darker color on cap. Wings unspotted (plain). Vocally just like the [Mouse-colored Antshrike], but male is darker and both have a red, not light grey, eye.
