This Harris's Hawk was captured collecting nesting material. By the way, from its claws and tail you can see that it was recently eating!
Taken at Javelina Ranch - Martin Refuge, Texas. I'd like to mention my guide at the ranch, Patty Raney. Despite it being a cold day and the light being poor, she stayed cheerful and used her knowledge and skills to help me get some bird shots that I love. I can't recommend her too much.
