Oilbirds are the only night birds that eat fruits. Owls eat insects and larger animals if they can, and nighthawks eat only insects. This bird seems to have brought some berries back to the cave, perhaps to feed a youngster.
A daytime cave-dweller, and a distant relative of the nighthawk order of birds. Oilbirds, which have oily feathers, are fruit-eaters. Note large hooked bill different than a nighthawk.
