Harpy Eagle

The Harpy Eagle is the most massive and powerful bird of prey in the world. For that reason it is highly sought after for zoos and private animal collections. I (editor, Tom Friedel) have travelled over much of Central and South American and have seen nine of these birds caged, and suspect most were taken from the nest as babies, probably by cutting down the tree.
