Believed to be a Red-stained and not a Little Woodpecker because the nape is not red, the head/body ratio, and the thick white lines on the front. There are no eBird records of Red-stained Woodpecker in Inirida, although it is inside the range maps. The lack of red stains on the wings could point to Little Woodpecker, but HBW writes this subspecies has less red tinge (on wings).
