Above the edge of the tree line on the Tibetan Plateau in areas where there was shelter the slopes were covered with dense shrubbery. The plumage of the bird life in this habitat was quite spectacular, with species such as this one and the well-named Siberian Rubythroat glowing with colour. I actually had to desaturate this image in Lightroom so that it would look more realistic!
