After resting up a day in Santa Cruz our expedition began in earnest with a long but comfortable drive south towards the Bolivian Chaco. From the town of Camiri we explored this habitat for three days, picking up many special birds including Brushland Tinamou, Chaco Chachalaca, Ringed Teal, Spot-winged Falconet, Black-legged Seriema, Cream-backed Woodpecker, Great Rufous Woodcreeper, Chaco Earthcreeper, Short-billed Canastero, Little Thornbird, Lark-like Brushrunner and Crested Gallito.
