The biodiversity (of birds) in a small "overgrown" field at the edge of the city is amazing. I've also read how many European finches are suffering because so many fields are routinely mowed. When will people learn to live with nature and not try and compartmentalize it in parks and zoos? Where did the word "overgrown" come from?
Found in open areas and brush outside of the forest. In 2023 the [Mouse-grey Flycatcher] (Choco region) and [Rufescent Flycatcher] (west Peru) were split from this species.
