Brown Skua
  (Stercorarius antarcticus)
 1 2
Recorded by Andrew Spencer on 2017-10-29
Antarctica, Brown Bluff
Comments: call.   natural vocalization; calls from one or two of several birds loafing on a gravel beach and interacting over scraps of penguin hides washing up. Most of the birds were adults, and there were a couple of South Polar Skuas in the group, but in this cut all of the vocalizing is from Brown Skua.     bird-seen:yes     playback-used:no       Citation: Andrew Spencer, XC254075.
