Comments: alarm call, call.   Same birds as XC291049 and XC291050. Flock of at least eight birds in riparian wash dominated by Fremont cottonwoods (Populus fremontii) and Russian-olive (Elaeagnus angustifolia). Known breeding location and currently the only location known to be occupied by this species in Arizona following a rangewide decline following introduction of West Nile Virus over a decade ago (these magpies historically occurred regularly as far south as Chinle).
