This tiny wader breeds in the tundra zone of Scandavia and Finland and winters in Africa. Occasionally they will end up in Ireland as vagrants in Spring or Autumn while in transit to and from breeding grounds. This bird was photographed in Henningberg, Finnmark in the north of Norway.
