Tom is a lifetime computer programmer and web site designer who also has a passion for 'birding' and photography. He is also the editor of birdphotos.com. His love of birds and nature goes back to days as a child reproducing Audubon paintings with colored pencils.
Tom is a Fort Lauderdale, Florida resident, but feels his best photographic work is from his travels to Central and South America. Currently he uses a Canon 5D with a Canon 300mm f/2.8 lens, used with teleconverters. Tom, who strongly feels that global change has to come from individuals, is a vegetarian, conservationist, agnostic, and recycling nut. He is also a Wikipedia contributor, adding images for numerous animals and places. More recently he developed a web site gratis for the Cracid Specialist Group, an organization which seeks to protect the threatened bird family Cracidae and the forests they depend upon. Blah, blah, I don't like to talk about myself. The most important point here is you could have your own page on this site with photos and links, where you could express your own ideas.
